Pricing questions

Is there a free trial?

Yes. While we’re in beta, every approved early-access user gets the full product free. After launch, new accounts will get a free trial period before any plan starts.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Cancel from the in-app settings at any time. Monthly plans stop renewing at the end of the current billing period; multi-month plans run out the period you paid for. We don’t pro-rate refunds for partial months, but we honor refund requests for accidental renewals if you reach out within 14 days.

Why these plan lengths?

They map to how people actually prep for Step 1. Three months is a focused dedicated period; six months is the typical “serious prep” window; twelve months covers the full integrated path through second-year coursework. Monthly is for short bursts — cram cycles, post-failure rebuilds, or testing the product before committing.

Do I have to choose between MCQs, flashcards, or audio?

No. Every plan includes the entire product — MCQs, flashcards, clinical pearls, mechanism maps, audio lessons, exam blocks, study plans, and the AI study partners. We don’t sell tiers that lock features behind paywalls.

Will the price go up?

If we ever raise prices, existing subscribers stay on their current plan price for as long as they keep their subscription active.

Do you offer student or institutional pricing?

Not yet, but it’s on our roadmap. If you’re a medical school or program interested in volume access, email info@alavna.com and we’ll work something out.

What payment methods do you accept?

All major credit and debit cards through our payment processor. Apple Pay and Google Pay are supported in the mobile apps. Receipts are emailed automatically.

All prices in USD. Taxes calculated at checkout where applicable. USMLE® is a joint program of the NBME and FSMB; Alavna USMLE is not affiliated with or endorsed by either organization.
