Your space stays yours.

Your timer, tasks, focus-session history, window preferences, and personal motto are stored locally on your device. Tempo has no account system, advertising, analytics, tracking, or cloud data service. Alavna does not receive this information.

Optional Chrome sharing

When you enable sharing and pair the Chrome extension, Tempo exchanges timer settings, tasks, and completed focus sessions between the two apps on the same computer. The connection is restricted to 127.0.0.1 and requires a private pairing code. It is not available to other computers on your network. Turn sharing off in the Mac app to revoke its pairing code. Chrome retains a local cached copy of the last shared data.

Your controls

You can add, complete, and delete tasks. Completed focus history retains the latest 5,000 sessions. History exports are saved to a location you choose and may contain your task titles. Keep exported files somewhere appropriate for you. Uninstalling the Chrome extension removes its Chrome-local copy; Mac app data may remain in its local application container after uninstalling.

Permissions

Chrome storage saves your preferences and progress; alarms keep track of sessions; optional notifications announce completion. Optional access to 127.0.0.1 is used only for the Mac connection. Earlier development versions may use Chrome's optional native messaging permission for the same local sharing purpose. Tempo does not read your browsing history or page contents.

The Mac App Store version uses Apple's sandbox. Its incoming-network permission supports only the loopback connection. File access is limited to its own container and destinations you choose when exporting. No microphone, camera, location, or contacts access is requested.

Store services

Apple and Google independently operate their stores, including distribution, payments if applicable, and any store-provided diagnostics under their own privacy terms.
